Hello, my name is Angela.  I’m a 20-year old (1990, to adjust for the years to come) nursing student at CSU East Bay.

I’ve posted about makeup/skincare products so frequently on my main account that [I feel like] it’s cluttering up the dashboards of my friends and followers who simply do not care about such things.  That’s why I created this tumblr! 

I couldn’t think of a better name for this blog than “Clever Compounds.”  That’s what makeup and skincare products are to me.  They’re brilliant mixtures of chemicals.  Ah, science and beauty.

Hello Clever Compounds Followers,

My name is Rose and as Angela has explained, we both have been wanting to do a project like this for a long time. Now that I have joined along with Angela, we should be able to post more of our ideas and include a wider variety in pictures. You’ll see ;)

I am currently studying as a biology major and hoping to transfer to UC Berkley to fulfill my dream of becoming an optometrist. Also, I am currently a sales associate for a retail store and an eye wear consultant for an optical center.

I thank all the followers for being so kind with this transition and hope to provide post that will not only be helpful but to inspire everyone to enjoy this way of expression (clothing, make up, accessories, etc) and perhaps do it yourself. I truly believe that fashion and make up is a way of expressing yourself. Because of this, you can never do it the “wrong” way.
