Maybelline’s Fit Me Foundation
This light weight foundation may feel runny at times but it does a great job “fitting” your skin tone. I’m not going to lie, I was very skeptical about this but I’m glad I gave it a try. Whenever I try a drugstore brand I usually find the formula a bit heavy for my skin (actually, even MAC is heavy at times) but this time I am satisfied with these results. The light weight formula and tones seem to do a good job matching the skin.
Now for the cons, This gives light coverage (which could be a good thing if you don’t need too much foundation) that when applying moisturizer, the skin is a bit too shiny and even seems wet almost. I’ve tried to alter the moisturizer and foundation ratio I used and that seems to work. I do like this foundation for those days when you just want a touch up on your skin, or for me I prefer wearing it just for school days.
I would recommend this foundation to anyone who either wants a dewey finish, very natural appearance, and/or does not have oily skin. Also, this is a easy touch up that won’t last all day but is a good price for their shades and decent coverage. As for going out all night or working all day, I would say the foundation is build-able, but not completely reliable for an all day wear.
Another unfortunate factor is the packaging. I love how slick and simple the design of the bottle was, but was disappointed to find no pump. This could be a personal preference, but if there is no pump I believe the packaging should be either a squeeze tube of some sort. If this doesn’t bug you, you can always dump a bit of foundation on your hand and work it into your brush before application.
I’m probably going to use this foundation as my school wear since it’s not too heavy and lasts at least half of the day.
Overall, for it’s shade collection and light coverage, it’s decent for the price you pay and is wearable for short trips but is not reliable for long day events.
